We spent 2 weeks in Zematt, discovering the joys of walking on the mountains, sometimes very high, and the pleasure of good food in alp restaurants quoted in Gault & Milaut. |

Visiting Greti & Max |
We payed twice a visit to Greti & Max at the Zum See place. This splendid restaurant is quoted by Gault & Milaut with 13 / 20, and is part of our family history : I first came to this restaurant in 1991 and kept memory of the best "mille feuilles" in Europe. I always promised to come back there -and it was exactly like in my memory : excellent. Sadly, the children did not like the famous dessert, so I have been piunished... by enjoying 2 1/2 mille feuilles !

Gornergrat |
We took the train up to the Gornergrat, together with hundreds of Japanese visitors. The day before, it rained in the valley and snowed down to 2000 meters. Walking was unsafe because of the snow, so we had to take the train half way back. |

From Riederalp, we could see down valley the small village Zmutt where we walked one day later. See the damm in the valley! We walked around the place of Riederalp and saw some marmottes from far away, the kids played a little with remaining snow, and then we went back home. |

From time to time, an old steam train runs from Zermatt to Brig. We just saw the train leaving Zermatt on a cloudy saturday.
